A call was made for South Korean companies to invest in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, December 11, 2016 (FBC) Ethiopia’s ambassador to South Korea, Desi Dalke, participated in the 2nd Korea-Africa Trade and Industry Cooperation Forum held in Seoul.
Ambassador Dese gave a presentation on the current economic situation in Ethiopia, the focus areas of foreign investment and the areas of cooperation between Ethiopia and Korea.
He mentioned that there is a favorable investment environment in Ethiopia. South Korean companies should take advantage of this, he said.
He emphasized that Ethiopia and the Republic of Korea should strengthen their cooperation in trade, investment, science and technology as well as finance and technology.
The information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also indicates that the country’s companies have been invited to participate in investment opportunities in Ethiopia.
South Korea’s Vice Minister of Trade, Byung Nae Young, said that Africa has great economic potential because it has a vast youth workforce and untapped resources.
