The council is working on developing a favorable policy for the private sector and strengthening the building of competitive capacity

It was stated that the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations is working to play a significant role in the country’s economic development by devising favorable policies for the private sector and strengthening the building of competitive capacity.
The 17th General Assembly of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Associations is underway.
As the president of the council, Mrs. Mesenbat Shenkute, said at the conference, the council is working to make the private sector contribute significantly to the country’s economic development in addition to providing business support services to its members.
Therefore, he said, the main objective is to support the government’s efforts in formulating a favorable policy and strengthening the competitiveness by providing constructive suggestions to make it more effective.
Also, it is being done so that the solutions to the problems faced by the business community come to the fore and the private sector will play a significant role in the economic development of the country.
At the forum, the Minister of State for Trade and Regional Connections Adviser Ato Gezaw Tekle said; He said that the Addis Ababa Council acts as a bridge between the government and the private sector and encourages those who work to continue the development of the private sector.
He said that the council should continue to strengthen the work of teaching and training them to engage in the work of changing the attitude of the private sector and raising awareness, especially in the commercial and industrial sectors that create a lot of jobs.
Members of the Board of Directors and stakeholders of the Addis Chamber, including a representative of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce, are participating in the forum.
