The Ethio-Djibouti Railway Transport has launched the operation of the Sabata Railway Station
Sabata railway station, the starting point of Ethio-Djibouti railway transport, was inaugurated and started working.
Minister of State for Transport and Logistics Denge Boru, Chief Executive Officer of Ethio-Djibouti Railway Transport Dr. Abdi Zenebe, Sheger city officials were present at the launching program.
At the same time, Ato Denge Boru said that the railway transport has a great contribution to transport the increasing expenditure and revenue of the country.
He pointed out that it is playing a significant role in transporting the soil fertilizer that is imported into the country so that the product can be quickly accessible to the farmers.
He said that the start of service of the railway station located in Sebeta Sub-city of Sheger City Administration will stimulate the economic and social activities of the area.
Dr. Abdi Zeneb, Chief Executive Officer of Ethio Djibouti Railway Transport; There are 20 train stations in different cities of Ethiopia and Djibouti and they said that they are opening new stations.
ESA reported that the start of the Sebeta railway station will significantly contribute to the creation of more employment opportunities in the new city of Sheger.
